John McCain says hi Mother

Duane and I were able to go to the Rally tonight at the Nationwide Arena here in Columbus. As you know, Ohio is a swing state, which means we are important. At least, we like to think we are. Anyway, a Republican election has not been won without Ohio winning for that candidate, so we get to have the candidates quite often. It was quite fun and I thought I would show some pictures of the rally.

Others were there showing off their candidates.

Pictures of Lauren in Hocking Hills

Lauren didn't want me to post these because she was uncomfortable having them taken. However, they are too good to listen to her. Since when do I listen?

Old Man's Cave

Duane preached this morning in Logan county where Hocking Hills is. If you have never been to Hocking Hills, you are missing a treat. We just had to stop by there and look around again and take some pictures. We will definitely go back when we have more time probably next year but here are a few. It is a spectacular cave like none other. If and when anyone comes to visit, we will surely take you there if the weather is good.

Jordan surprised his Mom and came home this past weekend.

It was Friday night at 10pm and suddenly the front door opened. Everyone was home that was supposed to be home. All of a sudden I looked up and there he was. Yes, I am speaking of Jordan. He had that silly grin on his face that he has and said, "hi Mommy." Surprise! It was good having him home. It was a short weekend but it was good being with him. Sunday, on his way back to school, we traveled with him to Cincinnati to see Melissa and her new apartment.

Field Hockey Senior Night

Introducing Lauren "Flo Masta Funk" Floro! With Lauren tonight is her mother Deana. Lauren has played Field Hockey for Jerome all 4 years. She also plays basketball and runs track. Also is in Spanish Club. Her interests include, having random dance parties with her teammates, singing in the shower, and pasta parties. Lauren hopes to attend Liberty University next year, then marry a smoking hot man. She would like to say to the team "Great Season Celts" and keep on nubbin it!! To Colleen and Michelle (coaches), thanks for putting up with my crazyness all these years and laughing at my jokes even when they're not funny. And to my parents, I love you so much and thanks for all your support in everything I do.

This was Lauren's intro as she and I walked down the field last night. I just thought everyone would like to read what I heard last night. Go Flo, as they call her. Why did we think so hard what to name her? Everyone including all the parents call my baby girl "Flo". Oh well, I guess it could be worse!

The Henson Clan

Nicole and I have talked about starting a Women's investment club where we are going to start with our family first. Thus finding this picture I had of the family and posting it on facebook in the Henson Clan group. It is such a nice picture and we are all there.

So, if you are in the Henson Clan and are interested in our Women's investment club, please let Nicole or I know. We are beginning the ground work for the start of the group and won't go live for a while. We thought this would be a great time to get it off the ground due to the present downturn of the stockmarket. We plan to start with 10-12 women, so we will add friends in the gap.

Anyway, enjoy this picture as I have done tonight. It is time for another family reunion. You can see how young everyone is. Just look at Lauren. She must have been around 4 or 5. She is 17. Next summer would be a great time to shoot for, don't you think? Love everyone!

Lauren's first injury in sports

Lauren finally did it. She's been trying to get hurt for 4 years and ride to the locker room on the golf cart with the trainer along with her Mom by her side. However, excitement isn't the word for it. She was waving to everyone as she rode off. Well, it wasn't a major injury. In fact, she wasn't even in the game yet. They were warming up and the ball came up and hit her in the nose. So, since there wasn't any super glue, yes super glue, the trainer chose to steri strip it. So far, no bruise on the nose. Of course she hasn't had her senior pictures made yet, but I think she is going to make it. So, here is a picture of the injury. We have been quite blessed with both her and Jordan and not really getting injured, but I so wanted to document this one.
