Wisps of Spring

Duane and I took a walk in the park that is close to our home. Dublin is known for walking paths and they are spectacular. It was 70 yesterday and partly cloudy. However, we were so thrilled that Spring is starting to show it's head. We still have probably a month of cold still, but it was nice that God gave us a short reprieve. If you come visit us, we can take you on this walk with us. Hint, hint!

Trip to Virginia

Lauren and I traveled to Roanoke and Lauren on to Lynchburg so she could attend "college weekend" at Liberty University. I stayed in Roanoke with my Mom and got to be with my brothers and sister. Nicole also came in with Gabby and we "bonded". Here are a few pics of us all.

Winter again

Posted by Picasa

This was our Level 2 snow emergency. For the first time since I have worked at this doctor's office, they closed. It is beautiful, but shoveling is no fun. I helped a little, but it was way too much for the back. We got close to 8 inches or more with an inch of ice underneath that.

Touchdown Jesus!

This is an actual statue off the interstate from Dayton to Cincinnati. It is magnificent and have often wanted to take a picture of it. So last week, Lauren and I stopped on the side of the road with cars wizzing by and I snapped it. It has appeared on National news before and we call it Touchdown Jesus. Of course he is praising God so I don't want to make light of it. It is incredible!

Melodie is 25!

Melodie turned 25 this past Monday, January 19th. We wanted to celebrate her birthday and have some pictures that were Justin's (that I happen to have) so you all may be able to know a little more about her. She and Justin got to know each other while we lived in Tulsa OK. They traveled to school together by the way of Justin's truck. and so it goes. It wasn't until both graduated from college when the romance began. Melodie herself is quite accomplished. She graduated with a double degree from The Oklahoma University. Well, they usually don't use the The, however being in Ohio State land, I thought it was appropriate. One degree is in Russian. Yes, she speaks Russian and the other is a Bio Chemistry Degree. Melissa says, oh no, wait til the kids come. They will be brains! Well, we will soon find out because she is due to have their 1st baby late this summer. She has a brother by the name of Patrick and Mom, Linda and Dad, James. Linda is a retired teacher and a "Martha Stewart" and James is an engineer. Patrick is now a freshman in engineering at Oklahoma University. Here are a few pics of Melodie and her family. They lived in our neighborhood and was a wonderful help when our house was on the market for 3 years. Patrick mowed our yard and Melodie and her Mom showed our house and kept a watchful eye out for us. Who knew we would soon be a family? Happy Birthday Melodie. Sorry this is so late. It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Ohio Floro family. We love you!

Their so called "date" in the 10th grade. This was called the MORP dance. They never truly dated in high school.Patrick, Linda, James, and Melodie
